The theme of this year's INSPIRE Conference is «Sharing environmental information, sharing innovation». The aim of the conference is to look at how innovations in the areas governance, content, and supporting technologies help to share environmental information in order to cultivate a new vision for a coordinated framework for the implementation and monitoring of environmental policies in the context of the INSPIRE Directive.

Fraunhofer IGD will participate at the conference as exhibitor introducing the data harmonisation panel and the HUMBOLDT Alignment Editor.

Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial in Central and East Europe 2012

FOSS4G-CEE & Geoinformatics 2012 is the first local conference focused on Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial in Central and Eastern Europe. This year, it is organized together with traditional Geoinformatics FCE CTU conference in Prague.

The conference is intended to move it's location over the region every year. It should be similar to the global FOSS4G conference, with focus on local regional issues.

On 23rd May, from 09:00 to 10:30, Simon Templer of Fraunhofer IGD, Darmstadt, will present a HALE tutorial:

AGILE 2012 invites the international community of researchers and users in the fields spatial information, geomatics, geocomputation and spatial analysis to exchange experiences and to introduce current developments.

The pre-conference workshops will be held on Tuesday, April 24th and are a complementary forum to the main conference, encouraging presentation and discussion of work in progress, and facilitating a dialogue on emerging topics in small groups.
